(About The Images)
1928-D NGC MS-65 RB. 1928-D NGC MS-65 RB.
Lot Title: 1928-D NGC MS-65 RB.
Description: Surfaces exhibit about two-thirds brown color, the balance projecting especially attractive ember-red color that is responsible for the red-brown notation. Because of the NGC no-line holder, the color is surely stable, but more importantly, the eye-appeal is just outstanding, as luster flows effortlessly over slightly reflective fields, and there is no perceptible discoloration. A solitary carbon spot rests inconspicuously in the field beneath LIBERTY. Unexpected of a 1920s branch-mint cent, both sides are sharply struck, although die fatigue is beginning to show in the somewhat flattened letters of E PLURIBUS. A terrific small-cent for the devotee of the series!

1928-D NGC MS-65 RB.
This coin was graded at a time when grading standards were a lot more conservative than they are today. It has attractive color and a good strike. This coin may have a shot at an upgrade.
