Lot Title:
Twelve Shield nickels in a Dansco 6110 album.
Description:
The consignor states that this collection fell out of his favor merely because he began to lose interest in the shield nickel design, and that is understandable, since the simplicity of both sides generally doesn't always inspire wild numismatic passion. Dates include 1866, 1867 "rays", 1867 "no rays", 1868, 1869 (cleaned), 1871, 1872, 1873, 1874, 1876 (MS-60/lightly cleaned), 1882 (AU/cleaned), and 1883 (AU). An extra blank page is included in the album.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
