(About The Images)
1875 NGC MS-64. 1875 NGC MS-64.
Lot Title: 1875 NGC MS-64.
Description: Cue up the Bobby Vinton records, as this lovely Seated Liberty type dime displays a full complement of blue velvet toning at the rims, the color gradually modulating into an inner ring of cinnamon-rouge that itself yields to platinum-grey devices. The identical, superb bull's-eye pattern layers each side, indicating extensive time spent in a Wayte Raymond or similar album. Because the toning is so thick, the luster is necessarily subdued, but nobody could question the extreme original quality. And if you still can see blue velvet through your tears, it simply means you did not bid strongly enough to obtain this near-gem wonder!
