It is no exaggeration to state that this quarter could have dropped off the dies just yesterday, and would look no more pristine than it does now. From a technical standpoint, the obverse approaches perfection, while on the reverse, a single hairline traverses the arrowheads, precluding upgrade. The only other technical aberration that could be mentioned is the fact that the obverse die was overly polished, resulting in brief reflective interruption of the frost just beneath Liberty's jaw line and between some leaves. Aside from such interruptions in the frost, DCAM designation might not be out of the question. A stunning coin in every sense, and with pristine qualities that make it a superb choice for type.
