1801 Normal Reverse (S-216, B-6, R.1). PCGS AU-58. 1801 Normal Reverse (S-216, B-6, R.1). PCGS AU-58.
Lot Title: 1801 Normal Reverse (S-216, B-6, R.1). PCGS AU-58.
Description: (Ex. Heritage 7/8/2009: 70, listed as NGC/CAC AU-58 serial # 3166803-001). S-216 is a common die marriage that has a reputation for inconsistent production, and in this case, strike quality at the tip of the bust and at OF on the reverse is the result of misaligned dies (per Heritage). Vintage mint pecan-red luster clings to the devices and fades into natural brown color through the fields.

1801 (S-216, R-1). NGC AU-55.
The only use of obverse "4", S-216 can be easily attributed upon recognition that the last two digits 01 are higher than 18 in the date. An interesting toning pattern involves a sienna-brown area...
218The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$575.00
1801 Normal Reverse. NCS XF Details, Obv Scratched.
In addition to having undergraded details, the “scratched” qualifier alluded to on the slab label amounts to nothing more than three ancient hairline scratches in the right obverse field. There is an...

Three Draped Bust Large Cents.
Three consecutively dated Draped Bust Large Cents: 1801 F, 1802 F+, and 1803 Good. Each offers prodigious detail, and despite evidence of light corrosion on each, it has caused no real damage. All...

1801 Normal Reverse S-224, R-1. ANACS VF-25.
Rich brown color paired with super strong detail on the reverse gives this coin a spectacular look.
