Lot Title:
1909 PCGS PF-65/obverse tarnish spots (rattler).
Description:
Carbon spots are flecked over the left side of the reverse, and some intriguing moderately small areas of green toning have taken hold of the Indian's cheek, chin and lower tresses. But as spelled out by the PCGS rattler "RD" designation, this is one bright red cent! The obverse averages fully half a shade brighter appearance than the reverse, where some attenuation of the color has occurred within the wreath. While the obverse motifs are lightly frosted, not enough reflectivity remains in the fields to warrant any kind of cameo designation.
