Lot Title:
1934-D NGC MS-65.
Description:
1934-D is remarkably elusive in gem grades, which may surprise some collectors who expect all buffalo nickels from the 1930s to be common. NGC has graded just 10 higher (and PCGS 42). Lovely rouge-gold color blushes across each side, yielding to underlying nickel-grey in some areas, and strike quality is truly outstanding, the only weakness being seen at the bottom of the letters in the denomination.
