Lot Title:
1906-S NGC MS-62.
Description:
Significantly nicer in appearance than the MS-62 grade assigned by NGC, as luster rolls effortlessly around both sides, and very attractive album toning dominates each side, providing the classic ocean-blue and golden-russet color combination that is so sought after by collectors. Closer examination reveals a reverse that by itself almost certainly grades at the "gem" level, but the same album storage responsible for the magnificent color most likely provided opportunity for slide marks across the portrait, and they undoubtedly limit the grade.

This San Francisco Branch Mint issue gleams with a golden rose iridescence. An array of die striations, and some very minute ticks, are observed on Liberty's profile when employing a strong glass. ... |
