Lot Title:
1760 No 'P' Hibernia-Voce Populi 1/2P. NGC XF-40 BN.
Description:
Positively delightful surface quality is highly unusual for the type, featuring very little post mint impairment, and even the tiny planchet voids on either side (present at the time of striking) have virtually no impact on the eye appeal. Both sides are about perfectly centered, and the reverse date is particularly sharp and bold. A deeply original Colonial piece that is definitely much better than average for what often shows up in slabs for this particular type.
