Lot Title:
1924-S PCGS MS-63RB.
Description:
An exceptional level of the original mint red can be seen across either side, with merely a quarter or less toned to steely-brown. As usual, this 1924-S is poorly struck -- there is no other way to state it but plainly -- but the luster is unexpectedly prevalent for a coin so softly defined. Despite the conservative description, this is actually an above-average example of this semi-key issue.

1924-S PCGS MS-62RB.

Deep cherry color is endorsed by the "RB" designation, with only about of a third of the surface mellowed to burgundy-brown. As is so often the case for these 1920s San Francisco coins, the strike is... |
