Lot Title:
1924-S PCGS MS-62RB.
Description:
Deep cherry color is endorsed by the "RB" designation, with only about of a third of the surface mellowed to burgundy-brown. As is so often the case for these 1920s San Francisco coins, the strike is awful on both sides, clearly the impetus for the MS-62 numeric grade assignment. Low mintage of 11,696,000 ensures semi-key status.

1924-S PCGS MS-63RB.
An exceptional level of the original mint red can be seen across either side, with merely a quarter or less toned to steely-brown. As usual, this 1924-S is poorly struck -- there is no other way to... |
