(About The Images)
1885 PCGS MS-65. 1885 PCGS MS-65.
Lot Title: 1885 PCGS MS-65.
Description: Typically, Philadelphia quarters and half-dollars of the 1880s demonstrate prooflike quality, but such is not the case here. Making a rare appearance is a gem 1885 that exudes unquestionable business-strike character. Extensive patina fully dominates each side, and examination with a loupe will establish that a large expanse of the obverse sprayed with a subtle layer of ultra-fine carbon patina. Sharp-eyed collectors will note that the reverse was struck off a subtle doubled-die.
Low Estimate: $2,100.00
High Estimate: $2,400.00
