Lot Title:
1868 PCGS PF-63 RB.
Description:
Fully 95% of the obverse mint red color is retained, though the reverse has given up 20% of the original red due mostly to the central area having mellowed significantly. This is a highly reflective proof that gleams with great reflectivity, seemingly suggestive of a better grade, thought it must be noted that numerous wispy hairlines can be seen between the shield's vertical stripes. The tops of "68" in the date are nicely repunched.

This specimen's surfaces radiate an ample amount of orange-brown iridescence, while being further enhanced in splashes of blue hues. A couple toning specs appear to the right of the shield, but they... |
