(About The Images)
1868 PCGS MS-64 RD. 1868 PCGS MS-64 RD.
Lot Title: 1868 PCGS MS-64 RD.
Description: Watery mint luster reflects ideal mint red from the obverse, though the reverse is a little less reflectivity and coruscates with substantial cartwheel effect. PCGS has assessed a grade of MS-64 RD, and this coin offers slightly prooflike character, partly because of the highly repolished dies. Carbon spots are limited to only some inconspicuous specks, gathered mostly between the shield lines on the obverse, and evenly scattered across the reverse. A lovely near-gem!
Low Estimate: $475.00

Fully 95% of the obverse mint red color is retained, though the reverse has given up 20% of the original red due mostly to the central area having mellowed significantly. This is a highly reflective...
