Lot Title:
1912-D PCGS MS-64.
Description:
An absolutely delightful mother-of-pearl patina encrusts this entire coin with beautiful, prismatic luster. This is obviously an extremely original piece with hardly a distraction available to the unaided eye. Strict examination reveals a scrape on Liberty’s nose and a slide mark on her neck, but this is certainly one of the most attractive Barber half dollars in today’s sale.

1912-D NGC MS-65.

Though 1912-D is hardly a rarity in the series, in the opinion of your humble cataloger, this is the finest and most desirable Barber half-dollar available in today’s sale. No number of superlative... |

1912-D AU-58.
One of our graders called this coin MS-63, but there appears to be some slight friction, so let's be on the safe side and award it the AU-58 grade. Scattered russet toning can be seen on both sides. |
