(About The Images)
1825/3/2 B-2 VF-35. 1825/3/2 B-2 VF-35.
Lot Title: 1825/3/2 B-2 VF-35.
Description: Probably grades fully Extremely Fine, though there is not quite enough mint luster remaining on the obverse to qualify the grade in this cataloger’s humble opinion. Hints of luster appear on the reverse, and the fields are semi-reflective around the Eagle. An enjoyable coin with light pastel tones of lilac and cornflower blue accenting the obverse, and antique gold and royal blue color on the reverse.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Low Estimate: $500.00
High Estimate: $650.00

579The Midwest Summer Sale 2014 on 07/18/2014$475.00
1825/4/3 (B-3) NGC VF-20.
Pleasing with minor surface gloss and an attractive, original "old silver" appearance. No contact marks of any sort will be noticed on either side, though a loupe discovers one tiny old mark next to...
499The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$1,100.00
1825/4 (B-2, E Stamp) NGC AU details/stained.
NGC's disclaimer indicates "stained", but a more cynical observer might consider the weird, dark-black gunk to be some sort of old residue that may have mildly corroded the underlying surface. It's...
851The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$3,600.00
1825/4/2 (B-2) ANACS MS-63.
Intricate details ensure the desirable nature of this large-planchet quarter, since it is tough to find sharply struck examples for use as type or in date sets. Almond-tan patina has settled over the...
308The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$4,750.00
1825/4/2 (B-2) AU-53.
Examining the date for attribution, one quickly notices that the inner loops of the "8" are recut on the inside, and the "5" is clearly punched over SOMEthing underneath. Researchers state that it is...
463The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$1,200.00
1825/3/2 B-2 XF-40.
A pleasing, original coin with pastel blue color distributed throughout all the fields, except at the edges of the various devices, where tan-beige hues take over. Nearly perfectly centered, the...
464The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$2,000.00
1825/3/2 B-2 AU-55 Details, Artificially Toned.
It is unclear as to why this coin was artificially toned as there appears to be none of the unsightly scratches or hairlines that would typically be hidden by such treatment. Despite the issue,...
