Lot Title:
1798 NGC AU-55.
Description:
This is at least an accurately-graded specimen, and might well be slightly undergraded. The obverse is fully struck up, with full hair and facial detail, while the reverse is a tad soft at the center. A die crack is present on the obverse from the rim, between the "T" and "Y," to an ending point on the nose. A second smaller break is noted under the chin of Liberty. It would be difficult to imagine a more perfect coin for the high-grade type collector.
