Lot Title:
1652 Pine Tree Shilling, Small Planchet NGC VF-25.
Description:
Coins struck by the Massachusetts Bay Colony are the first distinctly American money. This is a beautiful, natural piece of American history. The surfaces are perfect, and the color is a light silver-gray. Free of any distracting marks, and on an amazingly smooth flan, this is a superior quality example. Struck on a small diameter disc, some of the lettering is off site. The overall quality on this pilgrim product is stunning, making this a perfect type example.
