This is an exceptional piece for the issue. This Colonial half pence is struck so well it appears to be in high relief. The color is a nice chocolate brown with a depth to the color that only many passing years can bring. Rejected by the Irish, this issue found its way to the American shores about the same time Washington was leading British troops against the French and Indians.
