Lot Title:
1787 Nova Eborac, Seated Left PCGS XF-40.
Description:
This token, struck for the State of New York, is on exceptional quality copper. The surfaces display light toning over smooth brown copper. This planchet was produced without the graininess usually found with this issue. The strike is way above average with a full cheek and complete eyelids. The lettering is sharp and crisp. The reverse shows a complete female form and a distinct shield. The reverse lettering near the rim is a bit soft. A small planchet crack is noted at 5:00 obverse. This coin is as nice an XF as you will ever see, so expect active bidding.
