(About The Images)
1887 MS-64++. 1887 MS-64++.
Lot Title: 1887 MS-64++.
Description: Perhaps we should have picked up the gauntlet and simply graded this coin MS-65. Its fields are clean and sparkling with luster, while the devices are prominently struck. Light woodgrain toning is present on both sides of this wonderful piece.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Low Estimate: $425.00
High Estimate: $600.00

1887 PCGS MS-64 CAC.
1887 could not be called a key to the Liberty nickel series, but how often do you actually see them in MS-64? This example seems to be the real deal, with rapidly revolving cartwheel effect and some...
373The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$270.00
1887 NGC MS-64.
Preservation, luster and original quality suggest a better grade than MS-64, but a couple of shallow planchet flaws on Liberty's lower neck may have been impetus for a more conservative approach. ...

1887 NGC PF-65 Cameo.
A delightful jewel that provides pristine and very nearly pure white eye appeal for the connoisseur of early proof coinage. There is no questioning the "cameo" designation, though technical...
