(About The Images)
1892 MS-64. 1892 MS-64.
Lot Title: 1892 MS-64.
Description: This first year of issue from the Philadelphia Mint exhibits wonderful and virtually pristine frosty surfaces. There are no detracting blemishes or marks. Evidence of die clashing is noticed on both the obverse (the strongest) as well as the reverse. The strike is exceptionally strong, which adds to its desirability.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

731The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$650.00
1892 NGC PF-63, and an 1892 PCGS MS-63.
Different strike format does not stop this pair of 1892 dimes from matching up very nicely, with regard to both grade and appearance. PCGS has graded the circulation strike as MS-63, with this coin...
586The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$300.00
1892 NGC MS-64.
Rose-grey patina dominates the surfaces, augmented by subtle denim-blue accents. A very sharply detailed type coin for the collector who prefers first-date-of-series examples.
335The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$300.00
1892 MS-65.
Close to uncirculated, with a reverse that likely is fully so. The obverse is faintly worn and lightly corroded.
598The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$700.00
1892 NGC PF-64.
A limited level of cameo contrast exists throughout even though the fields are not deeply reflective. Serene russet-salmon color gently bathes each side.
599The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$825.00
1892 NGC MS-66.
The multihued toning that enriches much of this Barber dime has the classic pattern and color of the Whitman albums that were so popular during the 1960s. The peripheral area of both sides is...
1011The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$600.00
1892 NGC PF-64.
This first year of issue coin is a wonderful example of how a Proof Barber Dime should look. There are no marks in the fields, and the devices are super sharp. Both sides have exquisite tones of...
