Lot Title:
1820 20 over 19, N-2, R-2+. AU-55.
Description:
The underdate on this variety is quite clear. Its moderate smooth surfaces have a lovely bluish brown aspect with much luster retained amongst its devices and inscriptions. Ever so slight porosity is perceived to the right of Liberty's profile, a faint hairline is detected to the left of Liberty's neck, and a couple minute ticks appear in the reverse field. Despite being struck somewhat soft on the obverse's right and on the hair below Liberty's coronet, it exhibits overall admirable design detailing.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
