Lot Title:
1797 9x7 Small Letters, B-2, BB-72, R-4. ANACS VF-30 Details Cleaned.
Description:
This example represents a somewhat time-honored elusive variety. It was struck from the only reverse die utilized in 1797 depicting small letters on the reverse. This particular reverse die was first placed into service in 1795. Deeply toned in pewter-gray, there are no detracting marks or blemishes, and there are no adjustment marks to note. Handsomely struck.
