(About The Images)
1833, and three 1835, XF to AU. 1833, and three 1835, XF to AU.
Lot Title: 1833, and three 1835, XF to AU.
Description: Courteous Collection of Early Type. The consignor indicates removal of the 1833 JR-5 from an ANACS AU-50 holder, although some planchet flaws and a minor pinscratch across the bust would suggest a lower net grade. 1835-dated dimes include: JR-1 (AU/cleaned, but perhaps only mildly so), JR-2 (XF-40, a little pale), and JR-5 (XF-45, pale grey). Four coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1833 JR-6, R-1. AU-58.
This is an easily recognized variety. The obverse has both "3s" of the date being joined at their upper and lower loops. On the reverse, there is a die break from the rim through the "D" of "UNITED"...
