Lot Title:
Sheet of eleven Bust half-dollars, consecutive dates 1826 through 1836, all AU/hairlines.
Description:
Courteous Collection of Early Type. Collectors who truly pursue the series are seldom shocked to hear that any particular random bust half has hairlines. These grand old halves suffered numerous injustices over the years, with cleaning and wiping just two possible scenarios. Each member of this group presents AU details, but also evidence of hairlining to varying degrees of offense. So they are offered with an overall assessment of AU/hairlined, with dates listed as follows: 1826 O-112, 1827 O-105, 1828 O-115, 1829 O-111, 1830 O-110, 1831 O-107, 1832 O-105, 1833 O-110, 1834 O-110, 1835 O-106, and 1836 O-122. 1833 and 1835 are likely the nicest, although 1829 may feature the least evidence of cleaning in this eleven coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
