Lot Title:
Sheet of eleven Bust half-dollars, all VF detail. Four 1834 and seven 1836.
Description:
Courteous Collection of Early Type. The VF level for sharpness should well apply to this grouping with some caveats as noted. We list 1834 examples as: O-112 (VF/old cleaning), O-117 (VF-30 but strongly dipped), 1834 large date (VF or maybe only F-15 with dark toning streaks), and 1834 small date (VF-20, nice dirty original). 1836 coins list as follows: O-105 (VF-35/cleaned), O-107 (VF-30 but heavily dipped), 1836/1336 O-108a (VF-20, modest cleaning), O-112 (VF-20, lovely), O-115 (VF-35 but very pale), O-119 (VF-30, much luster but somewhat pale), and O-12 (VF-25, and a little pale). Eleven coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
