Lot Title:
1804 Plain 4 - Stems (C-11, R.3+) PCGS XF-45.
Description:
Plain 4, With Stems without a spiked chin is a Redbook variety that commands a premium, but the NGC slab indicate neither Cohen nor commercial variety on the slab. Gunmetal toning layers over walnut-brown surfaces to create a slightly shimmering appearance. The rim on either side appears to be free from dings, while some of the small contact mark of expected of commercial XF-45 show up under a loupe, including three or four small linear ticks on Liberty's portrait.
