Lot Title:
Three 1912-D MS-62 RB, MS-63 RB, and MS-64 BN, all NGC.
Description:
That graded MS-64 BN appears to have very nearly as much mint-red as its properly designated companions, and exhibits a remarkably sharp strike. So in essence, these make for a nice grading reference set for MS-62 through MS-64, with the former showing a hint of a fingerprint off to the left and some minor carbon throughout. Three coin lot. 1912-D PCGS MS-64+RD CAC.
The "plus" has been dished out by PCGS to only three 1912-D cents at the MS-64 level with a RD designation, and that seems sensible since so few were preserved at such high grade. This example... |
