Lot Title:
1912-D PCGS MS-64+RD CAC.
Description:
The "plus" has been dished out by PCGS to only three 1912-D cents at the MS-64 level with a RD designation, and that seems sensible since so few were preserved at such high grade. This example features an exhilarating strike that hardly seems like it belongs on a branch-mint Lincoln of the era, with full blazing red on the obverse and burgundy-blue highlights across part of the reverse. Trivial greyish flecks in the right field might have prevented full gem consideration, but the quality is definitely all there at the proffered grade. (PCGS# 002455)
