Lot Title:
1911 NGC MS-65 RD (no line).
Description:
The age of the very old NGC holder (green label, no-line) establishes credibility for very stable red satin luster, and this coin also presents the twisting, turning, aggressive luster demanded of the gem level. The mint red has scarcely mellowed, though the obverse shows a few very small patches of burgundy-tan. Struck very well, and immune from contact marks. (PCGS# 002443)

Partially squared rims on the obverse conspire with a fantastic strike to give the 1911 a somewhat matte-prooflike appearance. Mostly brown, despite having been dipped long ago, with some slightly... |
