Lot Title:
1797 (B-1, BB-73) NGC VG details/repaired.
Description:
Marshmallow Collection. NGC almost seems to have simply defaulted to a "repaired" disclaimer in this case, as we would have thought the coin burnished to remove some odd metal corruption in the lower left quadrant. Subsequent retoning has left some surprisingly natural appearing beige-tan and charcoal coloration on both sides. (PCGS# 006863)

1797 (B-1) Draped Bust dollar, VF-20

1797 ANACS F-12 Details Graffiti-Scratched.
It is a tragedy that someone decided to carve their name into this super tough dollar. It is gunmetal gray in color and has Fine+ details. Both the obverse and reverse are scratched. |
