Lot Title:
1797 (B-1) Draped Bust dollar, VF-20
Description:
Douglas Weaver was a prominent Texas coin dealer for many years, and this Draped Bust, small eagle dollar was registered to him by ANACS on June 4, 1981. A bit pale and slightly glossy, the appearance is sufficiently acceptable to warrant no notable problems on the ANACS photo certificate, but a strict description requires mention of a hairline scratch from the top of Liberty's hair to ER. This may account for the split grade of VF-20/30 assigned by ANACS, as the reverse has no distractions.

1797 (B-3, BB-71) NGC F details/improperly cleaned.

Marshmallow Collection. Glossy overall, the entire coin will appear to be a bit "too smooth" to be original, although the benefit is that there basically no visible marks -- none! A single... |

1797 ANACS F-12 Details Graffiti-Scratched.
It is a tragedy that someone decided to carve their name into this super tough dollar. It is gunmetal gray in color and has Fine+ details. Both the obverse and reverse are scratched. |
