Lot Title:
1807 (C-1) NGC AU-50, and an 1808 (C-3) NGC XF-40.
Description:
Seldom are two half-cents this nice available as a pair, but these come to us with orders from the consignor to sell them together. 1807 C-1 features attribution on the slab and considerable frosty brown luster in the fields, but some darker ashy toning filters over the upper portrait. Excellent quality surfaces appear to be basically unmarked. 1808 C-1 is unattributed by NGC, and this example has the reverse rotated 180 degrees. Ideal walnut-brown patina dominates the eye-appeal here, and in this case, only a very few scattered ticks comprise the extent of contact marks. Superior copper fin this two coin lot.
