French Connection Estate. 21 in PF-67, 2 graded higher at NGC. An absolutely devastating crown jewel, the entire coin is utterly infused with deep sapphire and jade-blue toning that occasionally cedes to flecks of salmon-grey at areas of the highest relief in the design. Putting a loupe on the coin reveals considerable textural contrast that has less visual impact with such widespread toning, but the beauty here cannot ever be misjudged. It is a truly superb gem in every sense. Exquisite details are exactly as expected of a proof dime of this magnitude. (PCGS# 004893)
