(About The Images)
1875-CC, Reverse I, AU details/cleaned. 1875-CC, Reverse I, AU details/cleaned.
Lot Title: 1875-CC, Reverse I, AU details/cleaned.
Description: Mike Wrinkle Collection. Little luster remains on either side, but 1875-CC often comes with dull luster even in the AU grade range. This one has had the surfaces altered in some fashion, with a multitude of tiny hairlines shimmering across each side. (PCGS# 007038)

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1875-CC Doubled Die Reverse AU details/reverse spot removed.
Obv 2 / Rev 1. Doubling becomes readily apparent on the reverse at the arrowheads, olive branch, and all devices beneath. Certification has never been attempted for this aluminum-white Carson City...
914The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$1,150.00
1875-CC NGC AU-58.
Natural Classic's Collection. Type-1/Type-1. Reasonably well struck, the reverse does retain some minor die striations toward the upper left field. Encased in virtually complete luster, only a...
554The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$260.00
1875-CC VF.
Tin-silver grey and slightly dull, though this is an effect only of circulation (not cleaning). There are simply no digs or abrasions out of character for a coin this large and with this much wear.
851The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$390.00
1875-CC XF/altered surfaces.
Nearly original in appearance, though a light, cloudy haze of some unknown substance seems to layer each side. Rims are free of any problems, while the surfaces show the myriad tiny contact abrasions...
852The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$535.00
1875-CC PCGS XF-45.
Incredibly thick, ultra-original patina graces the entirety of both field areas of this understated type coin, contrasting well with slightly lighter devices. Of note is evidence of fairly recent...
564The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$500.00
1875-CC AU.
An uncertified 1875-CC Trade dollar that grades AU-50, cleaned, yet possesses decently attractive pewter-silver patina.
683The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$360.00
1875-CC XF-45.
Splendidly toned in a light pewter with hints of blue and gold iridescence. Some random specs and some darker toning are observed on its obverse, but they do not dominate visually. This popular...
661The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$210.00
1875-CC XF-40+ Cleaned.
This Carson City issue is virtually untoned. The surfaces have a glossy aspect from being subjected to a careful dipping. There is a sprinkling of contact ticks, but this does not hamper the...
662The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$825.00
1875-CC MS-62 Cleaned.
Despite this specimen's subjection to a subtle cleaning, it exhibits an immaculate surface aspect. It is ascribed as a Type 1/1 variety. A paltry number of surface marks do not lesson its visual...
707The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$500.00
1875-CC AU-58.
This is a captivating, slightly circulated, and popular branch mint specimen. There are some scattered contact ticks and hairlines to note. Although there is slight wear appearing on the design...
708The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$2,500.00
1875-CC MS-63++
A delicate golden iridescence overlies the glistening surfaces of this popular western mint specimen. Also to be noted is a light sprinkling of contact ticks, as well as one minor reverse scrape...
525The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$1,750.00
1875-CC MS-60++.
A resplendently white specimen of this Type I/I variety. There is only a light sprinkling of contact ticks observed, and the design motifs are quite bold.
748The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$1,550.00
1875-CC PCI MS-63.
Attractive golden patina covers 100% of this coin. Very attractive, but with a few more marks than you might expect for the grade. However, this coin will fit nicely into a higher grade type set.
