Lot Title:
1868 NGC MS-66.
Description:
French Connection Estate. This 1868 nickel carries eye-appeal just about to the limit for the MS-66 grade, with spiraling bands of luster and classic nickel-beige color that looks perfect for an original coin. Close examination finds pinpoint details and an occasional, extremely small carbon fleck, along with a minor luster graze flung into the extreme right field. The reverse features fine planchet striations and a single carbon particle on the "5" that demonstrates that the surfaces have seen no abrasive handling. Very nice! (PCGS# 003795)

1868, 1888 and 1912-S nickels, all Fine
Each coin matches up perfectly with completely original, nickel-grey surfaces. The 1888 has a nice bold LIBERTY, whereas 1912-S just barely scrapes up all seven letters, since the "I" is very faint... |
