Lot Title:
1911 ANACS MS-64.
Description:
Exquisite luster darts back and forth and all around the fields, playfully cavorting with the ice-blue accents that accent both sides. What a sparkling little arctic jewel! Neither side shows any blemishes, and one can't help but wonder whether an upgrade might be possible, given that the coin hasn't been to a grading service in at least twenty-five years. How this much contrast failed to garner "cameo" accolades defies all logic. One might argue that the toning on the reverse disguises any cameo effect, but one quick glance at Liberty's portrait is... |

A pair of common Barber dimes, both certified. The 1911 is graded MS-64 in an early ANACS slab, and frankly, it looks better than many graded MS-65 today. The 1914 is graded MS-63 in a recent NGC... |
