Lot Title:
1876 PCGS MS-66.
Description:
21 graded MS-66, 7 higher. A high centennial mintage of well over 8 million pieces makes 1876 popular as a type quarter, and the higher the grade, the better the type! Optimal satin-fresh mint frost blankets the obverse except where tangerine and spice-gold toning swath down the left and lower areas, while the reverse appears to be pure white. Scattered tiny abrasions cannot be avoided at the grade level. (PCGS# 005501)

A somewhat prooflike appearance is granted by the frosted motifs atop shimmering, multifaceted fields. The reverse has a particularly nice cameo effect. Very nice! The last two digits of the date... |
