Lot Title:
1795 Lettered Edge, with Pole (C-1, R.2). NGC VF-25.
Description:
Very attractive walnut-brown surfaces exhibit no impairment of any corrosive nature, and that immediately elevates interest in an early copper type coin like this. A couple of small digs left of the cap and some trivial scattered circulation marks will not bother anyone, either, since the simple smooth nature of the planchet can be readily appreciated right along with bold definition. The obverse has been struck slightly off-center southeast, with the reverse corresponding toward the northeast, but the date and every single peripheral device remain unaffected, showing full, strong presence. A terrific half-cent! (PCGS# 001009)

1795 Lettered Edge, with Pole (C-1, R.2). NGC VF-25 BN.
LI is noticeably lower than "B" on the obverse, and HALF positioned below the flanking leaves, attributed as C-1, given the lettered edge referenced by NGC. The bulge at AME is just barely coming... |
