Lot #AuctionCurrent Bid or Hammer PriceDescription
962The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$925.00
1894 PCGS MS-62.
The obverse is actually a half-grade nicer than the reverse, with the latter side showing some scribbly scratches beneath the wings. Modest contact marks show up as expected on the portrait.
1146The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$1,550.00
1894 BU and 1899 AU.
Despite the discrepancy in grade, the appearance is nearly equitable between this pair of Philadelphia eagles. 1894 grades MS-61, while 1899 is barely circulated and grades AU-58. Two coin lot.
894The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$700.00
1894 NGC MS-61.
Very pale, perhaps from recent conservation efforts, and filled with suitable luster for the MS-61 grade level. A thin die crack connects the lettering on the left side of the reverse.
1116The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$1,800.00
1894, 1896, and 1902 AU.
Three (3) gold eagles display some luster and XF/AU details, but these may be a bit too bright to pass as original. They are listed as: 1894, 1896 and 1902.
1193The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$3,100.00
1894 and 1901-S NGC.
A pair of Liberty eagles, including an 1894 graded MS-63 and a 1901-S graded MS-64, both in NGC holders.
1053The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$525.00
1894 PCGS MS-62.
Abrasions typical of the MS-62 grade can be found across the obverse, though the reverse seems choice. Housed in a green label PCGS holder.
965The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$975.00
1894 Coronet and 1915 Indian eagles
The 1894 eagle is quite chattery and merits a grade of MS-61. The Indian eagle is almost unblemished except for a bagmark on the eagle's shoulder. This coin has lemon-bright color and just a hint...
966The Midwest Winter Sale 2008 on 02/08/2008$400.00
1894 Coronet eagle, MS-62
Precisely struck and not far from being "choice", but the fields are peppered with the tiny marks typical of the grade. A couple of thin scratches on the portrait are too shallow to really impact the...
1094The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$2,500.00
Seven 1894 PCGS MS-61.
Consistent grading is plainly evident while reviewing this lot. All seven coins are in old green-label PCGS holders and are consummately graded.
1095The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$345.00
1894 NGC MS-61.
Plenty abrasions and splashes of carbon throughout the reverse fields relegate this coin to the Select Uncirculated level. An original piece.
512The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$6,750.00
1894 NGC MS-65.
This specimen's highly satinlike surfaces glisten with an opulent golden aspect. Additionally, this captivating eagle is further enhanced by an encompassing cartwheel luster. Interesting die break...
