Lot Title:
Eight AU/Slider Washington quarters from the 1930s.
Description:
Better AU grades will apply to most of these semi-white quarters, and each displays nice luster, as well as strong details. The coins are offered with ESTIMATED grades as follows: 1934-D (AU-50, with a higher grade denied by a pinscratch on the eagle's left [observed] wing), 1935-D (AU-53), 1935-S (AU-55/PVC residue), 1936-D (AU-50), 1937-S (AU-55), 1938 (AU-58, and might be UNC if not for moderate marks on the portrait), 1938-S (AU-55), and 1939-S (AU-50). Eight coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
