Lot Title:
Thirty-seven Seated Liberty dimes.
Description:
Only different dates are included in this group, filling a lot of holes in someone's album. Furthermore, every single coin but one (1858-O) displays a nice, strong LIBERTY on the shield, ensuring grade consideration in the F/VF grade level, with no coin displaying any blatant problems. Grades are not individually offered, but the dates are listed as follows: 1842, 1842-O, 1847, 1850, 1852, 1853-O, 1854, 1856-O, 1858, 1858-O, 1859-O, 1868, 1869, 1871, 1872, 1873 "no arrows, open 3", 1873 "no arrows, closed 3", 1873 "arrows", 1874, 1875, 1876, 1876-S, 1877, 1877-CC, 1877-S, 1883, 1884, 1884-S, 1887, 1888, 1888-S, 1889, 1890, 1890-S, 1891, 1891-O, and 1891-S. These are not the rarest dates in the series by any means, but offer enough variance in dates to create a well balanced and useful thirty-seven coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
