(About The Images)
1898 "repunched date" and 1899, both MS-64. 1898 "repunched date" and 1899, both MS-64.
Lot Title: 1898 "repunched date" and 1899, both MS-64.
Description: Few collectors search Liberty nickels for varieties, but this 1898 has two nice serifs on the first digit, attributing as Flynn/Note's RPD-001. Both this coin and the 1899 should be solid MS-64 coins at any grading service, though conservation to remove some crumbly haze from the latter nickel might be in order. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
