Lot Title:
1897 NGC PF-66.
Description:
Devastating eye-appeal stems from a strike that looks razor sharp almost beyond belief, and a flash of outrageously attractive sun-gold toning blazing across the lower half of the obverse. Fluorescent toning in brilliant solar-powered shades of yellow, sky-blue and magenta-gold streak around the reverse as well, affirming the amazing eye-appeal. NGC flat out missed the boat by failing to supply a "star" designation, which is warranted hands-down by this very-gem proof. A small tick flung far out into either left and right obverse field accompany a few flimsy carbon spots, and they seem to be the only distraction. (PCGS# 003895)
