Lot Title:
1873-S Arrows. PCGS MS-63.
Description:
Mintmark "S" must be repunched, as it has a blocky appearance that is overly thick at the center, and along with clashed dies, a nice die crack on the reverse threatens to erupt from the center all the way to the rim at 5:00. Another jagged crack connects Liberty's left (observed) shoulder to the rim. Decent luster affords "choice" consideration for the grade, with the surfaces dominated by silver-white sheen. Fewer marks than expected show up under a loupe, but there is some spotting at "OF A" on the obverse. (PCGS# 004667)
