Lot Title:
Complete collection of Walking Liberty half-dollars in a Whitman 9423 album.
Description:
Obviously, attempts were made to upgrade the set, as some earlier and most common later dates are in better grades. 1938-D is strong VF, but otherwise from 1933-S onward appear to be at least XF, with 1938 a nice UNC. Better coins also include 1916 (VF), 1916-S (VG), 1917-D OBV. (XF), 1921 (F), 1921-D (G), and 1921-S (VG). No coin particularly stands out as having major problems, but a couple here and there might be very modestly cleaned.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
