Lot Title:
Collection of 106 Lincoln cents from the 1930s and early 1940s.
Description:
Random sampling suggests that these will all be fully RED UNC cents (or close to full red), with GEMs all over the place, along with mostly choice and attractive coins. The consignor states the following approximate counts: 4x 1930, 6x 1934-D, 9x 1935, 5x 1935-D, 28x 1935-S, 11x 1936, 5x 1936-D, 6x 1936-S, 6x 1937, 6x 1937-D, 2x 1939, 4x 1940, 2x 1940-D, 5x 1940-S, 2x 1941-D, 3x 1942-D, and 2x 1942-S. To state that there is slab speculation is the understatement of the sale here, as there are definitely some amazing quality pieces in this 106 coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
