Lot Title:
1858 NGC MS-64.
Description:
Due to a strong die clash, "E" from DIME is strongly impressed into the field at Liberty's (observed) right, and various other inverted details from opposing sides snake through the fields. Competition for real estate is stiff on the obverse, however. That side features nearly spectacular and utterly vivid hues of deep cobalt-blue around three-quarters of the peripheral fields that threatens to consume Liberty's portrait. That's a lot of action for a coin so small! Silver-magenta occupies the rest of this side, while the reverse is mostly magenta-grey. (PCGS# 004367)
