Seventeen consecutive large-cents dated 1824 through 1840.

Description:

Most match up fairly well, with darker brown patina seen for a majority of the coins. A couple have surface issues, and the coins are briefly listed as follows: 1824 (Fine/recolored), 1825 (Fine), 1826 (Fine), 1827 (ex-Tom Reynolds, EAC VF-20, purchased at EAC 2007), 1828 (VF+/light microporosity), 1829 (VF/reverse scratched), 1830 (VF/obverse scratched/microporosity), 1831 (VF/slight microporosity), 1832 (VF), 1833 (ex-Jules Reiver NGC AU-55 and with a terrific doubled profile, very easy to see without a glass), 1834 (XF/dipped), 1835 (AU/microporosity), 1836 (Fine+ and attractive), 1837 (XF), 1838 (XF with an odd, thin band of corrosion and recolored), 1839 "silly head" (VF and generally attractive but it a minor spot of corrosion left of the date), and 1840 (XF and exceptional caramel color, but with a short scratch right of the date). Seventeen coin lot.
